I consider video slightly differently than my other practices as I allow myself more freedom.
When my fine art practice (drawing and sculpting) is almost exclusively based on the creation of a territory through the research of a visual language, textures and symboles strongly inspired by minimalist/modern/spiritual aesthetics* ; my video practice is a mixture of different forms of interests and expressivity. The research of formal exigence that I’ve just mentioned is communicating with cinematographic references** that inspire me for various reason in their aesthetic uniqueness. I am so far creating sequences, intuitively shooting elements that move something inside me even if I don’t really have access to it intellectually. Therefore it is hard to explain my video practice when the video is not directly related to my fine art practice.
